MILAN (Reuters) – Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) said in a statement on Wednesday it would invest 4.3 billion euros ($4.75 billion) over the next two years to strengthen artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure and cloud capacity in Italy.

The investment will be the company’s largest in Italy to date, Microsoft added.
