Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Banking, Telecoms and Household sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 1.26%.

The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Coca Cola HBC AG (AT:EEEr), which rose 1.44% or 0.46 points to trade at 32.36 at the close. Meanwhile, Athens International Airport SA (AT:AIAr) added 0.13% or 0.01 points to end at 7.60 and Terna Energy SA (AT:TENr) was up 0.05% or 0.01 points to 19.51 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr), which fell 4.86% or 0.02 points to trade at 0.33 at the close. Lavipharm SA (AT:LPHr) declined 3.79% or 0.03 points to end at 0.79 and Aegean Airlines (AT:AGNr) was down 3.65% or 0.40 points to 10.57.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 106 to 19 and 19 ended unchanged.

Shares in Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr) fell to 5-year lows; falling 4.86% or 0.02 to 0.33.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.61% or 16.50 to $2,673.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 2.06% or 1.44 to hit $71.27 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.89% or 1.39 to trade at $74.95 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.25% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.04% to 0.83.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.44% at 101.38.
