Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Industrials, Basic Materials and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 1.36%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA), which rose 2.82% or 13.10 points to trade at 477.40 at the close. Meanwhile, NIBE Industrier AB ser. B (ST:NIBEb) added 2.70% or 1.30 points to end at 47.50 and AB SKF B (ST:SKFb) was up 2.63% or 5.50 points to 215.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Samhallsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (ST:SBBb), which fell 3.12% or 0.12 points to trade at 3.74 at the close. Evolution AB (ST:EVOG) declined 1.07% or 10.20 points to end at 941.80 and Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) was down 0.47% or 0.15 points to 31.80.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 414 to 376 and 67 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.34% or 0.23 to $67.77 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.36% or 0.26 to hit $71.58 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.68% or 18.26 to trade at $2,662.74 a troy ounce.

EUR/SEK was up 0.29% to 11.54, while USD/SEK rose 1.14% to 11.01.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.61% at 106.47.
