Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Real Estate and Financials sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX rose 0.59%.

The best performers of the session on the AEX were Aegon Ltd (AS:AEGN), which rose 3.42% or 0.20 points to trade at 6.10 at the close. Meanwhile, ASML Holding NV (AS:ASML) added 2.41% or 15.50 points to end at 658.40 and ASM International NV (AS:ASMI) was up 2.24% or 11.20 points to 511.40 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Unilever PLC (AS:ULVR), which fell 0.42% or 0.24 points to trade at 56.58 at the close. Koninklijke Philips NV (AS:PHG) declined 0.23% or 0.06 points to end at 25.79 and Koninklijke KPN NV (AS:KPN) was down 0.19% or 0.01 points to 3.67.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 64 to 34 and 10 ended unchanged.

The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.

Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.01% or 0.01 to $68.73 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.47% or 0.34 to hit $72.44 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.72% or 19.14 to trade at $2,683.94 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.04% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.14% to 0.83.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 106.04.
