Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms, Household and Basic Resources sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 0.24%.

The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Gr Sarantis SA (AT:SRSr), which rose 2.94% or 0.32 points to trade at 11.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Jumbo SA (AT:BABr) added 1.73% or 0.42 points to end at 24.72 and Cars Motorcycles and Marine Engine Trade and Import Company SA (AT:MTDr) was up 1.50% or 0.04 points to 2.71 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr), which fell 2.73% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.37 at the close. Quality and Reliability SA (AT:QUAr) declined 2.22% or 0.03 points to end at 1.14 and Autohellas (AT:AUTr) was down 1.93% or 0.22 points to 11.20.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 74 to 45 and 20 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.25% or 6.30 to $2,536.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.49% or 1.03 to hit $68.12 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 1.44% or 1.05 to trade at $71.64 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.08% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.09% to 0.84.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 101.02.
